The professionnal workshop Designing Streets as Public Spaces was organized by the Montréal Urban Ecology Centre in partnership with the Ordre des urbanistes du Québec as part of the  Green, active, and healthy Neighboourhoods project that aims to rethink urban design and prioritize modes of active transportation.

Hosted by Gehl Architects - Urban Quality Consultants, this two-day, professionnal training session will have three parts:

  • Introduction to Jan Gehl's methodology through different case studies
  • Description of urban planning tools
  • Practical workshop that will apply these tools to a neighbourhood in Montréal.

The workshop is accredited by the Ordre des Urbanistes du Québec and will be of interest to urban planners, architects and engineers.

The workshop will be in English.

Instructors

The training will be offered in English by two members of Gehl Architects.
