Dominique Sorel

Board member

Since 2004, Dominique Sorel has been actively involved in the implementation of traffic-calming measures to increase pedestrian safety. Thanks to her efforts, and those of her neighbourhood committee, the borough of NDG, where she is a resident, is now working to implement traffic calming measures (curb extentions, no parking within 5m of intersections, pedestrian traffic lights, speed humps, and bollards). She has also participated in a number of public assemblies in Montréal on the subject. At the Montréal Urban Ecology Centre, she is actively involved in developing the Green, Active, and Healthy Neighbourhoods project and is on the project's executive committee.
