About the Car-Free Neighbourhoods Week project
CFN Week is a transatlantic initiative that aims to: 1) teach citizens about successful car-free zones in certain European cities; 2) help professionals and community organizers evaluate which aspects of car-free neighbourhoods could work in Montréal and share these ideas with the public; 3) document all events and make them available to the public so they can be used to transform existing neighbourhoods or design new car-free neighbourhoods.
Collaborations and partnerships
The Montréal Urban Ecology Centre (MUEC) and the Goethe-Institut collaborated for the Car-Free Neighbourhoods Week. Part of the program coincided with the event In town without my car all week long!, organized by the Agence métropolitaine de transport (September 20 -24).
